This summer, Codex opened a new dedicated elastomer warehouse near our headquarters in Slovenia, strengthening our storage and quality control capabilities for our elastomer range
While proper storage is important for all industrial components, elastomers require particular attention. Exposure to temperature fluctuations, humidity, sunlight, ozone and dust can gradually affect their properties and shorten their shelf life. To overcome these challenges, Codex has invested in a dedicated warehouse designed to provide optimal storage conditions and preserve product quality over time.
Specialised logistics and controlled storage conditions
The dedicated facility provides stable temperature and regulated humidity, while products are protected from sunlight, ozone, dust and other environmental influences.
Digital monitoring, batch traceability and systematic stock rotation are integrated into our warehousing processes. Relevant product information, including batch numbers, production dates and expiry dates, can be tracked throughout storage, helping us ensure that products are handled according to their specified shelf life.
Additional measuring and quality control capabilities
Codex has also expanded its in-house quality control capabilities with advanced measuring equipment, including the Micro-Vu Excel Measuring Center. Using high-resolution imaging and automated measurement technology, the system enables precise dimensional inspection of even complex geometries, strengthening product quality control at the company’s headquarters in Slovenia.
Physical infrastructure meets digital integration
Alongside its investment in warehousing and quality control, Codex continues to strengthen its digital connectivity. Through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), customers can exchange orders and business documents directly between their systems and Codex, reducing manual work, minimising errors and accelerating order processing. Combined with controlled storage and advanced quality inspection, this creates a more efficient and reliable supply chain.

The additional warehouse capacity supports the continued expansion of our elastomer range while enhancing both our product offering and service quality for customers in demanding industrial sectors.
